Tuscan architecture is not complicated by nature.  The secret to it’s character lies in the sensible use of rustic, stone, woods and stucco finishes combined with each buildings scale, ceiling heights. These features in proportion serve to product the recognizable Tuscan style.

Tuscan Origin:What is Tuscan style architecture? We have all probably seen examples of designs bearing the name.  The origins of the “order” or style were first noted, by the Italian historians, in the 16th century. They were referring to a style of colum know for it’s simple, but elegant lines. 

California Tuscan:  Then in the early 19 th century American architects visited Tuscany and returned with fresh images of what the Tuscan style embodied. Those images and the style’s elements were derived predominately from the villas of the region.  The original authentic features of Tile roof, central court yard, porches and shuttered windows remain.
